Winter Hours for Farm and Gift ShopNov 12, 2008 - Now that we are back on standard time, the farm and gift shop will be open Thursday through Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.For those of you who live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, you know that one of the biggest challenges of our winter season is the change in the light. As soon as we switch from daylight savings time back to pacific standard time, the days get very short. So, for the next few months we'll be closing an hour early. I must say that this has been one of the most beautiful fall seasons that I remember. The weather here has been incredibly mild. Almost balmy on some days. It has made my fall clean up easier and I'd like to say that I'm done, but not quite. I am still finishing up pruning all of my lavender plants, but should definitely be done this week if it doesn't pour down rain every day. My cuttings are all in the propagating bed setting their roots for new plants this spring. And I'm in the process of re-potting and pruning all of my nursery plants. That along with making a few new products for the holiday season has kept me busy so far. That reminds me, our annual Sequim Lavender Growers Association Holiday Bazaar is coming up. If you're in the area Thanksgiving weekend, please come see us on Saturday, November 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Carrie Blake Park in downtown Sequim. It's always a lot of fun and a great kick off the the holiday season. |
