Lavender Buds are Forming

Jun 01, 2008 -

As the weather here in the Pacific Northwest finally begins to warm up, our lavender plants are beginning to burst with joy.  It's been a bit of a slow start, but it looks like the lavender will be in full bloom by mid-July for the annual Sequim Lavender Festival.  My earliest blooming angustifolias, usually Seal's Seven Oaks and Tucker's Early, should be blooming right on time by the end of June.

Throughout the year, I get thousands of visitors here at Lost Mountain Lavender.  It occurred to me that our guests only get to experience a small slice of what life on a lavender farm is like.  Since most folks are only here for a short period of time, I thought it might be fun to document what happens at the farm throughout the year.

Periodically, I'll be updating our website visitors on what's happening here at the farm, while, hopefully giving some valuable information on lavender plants and how to care for them.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings.  Check back soon for the latest news.
