About Us

Hi, we’re Barbara and Gary Hanna. We were very fortunate to purchase Lost Mountain Lavender in 2003. Puget Sound escapees, we decided to leave our jobs in the hectic software industry, move to the beautiful small town of Sequim, Washington and run our own businesses.

Gary is a professional illustrator with over 20 years of experience in illustration and art direction. Trained in traditional medium, he now does all of his work in 3D on the computer. While taking a break from his computer screen, you’ll often see him out mowing the lawn, chopping wood or making sure all of the birds are well fed. See his work at hannastudios.com.

Barbara had been in senior management for the past decade and decided she really wanted her own business. Focusing on what she truly loves to do, garden and make things, the opportunity to buy Lost Mountain Lavender was the perfect chance to start in the middle with a beautiful farm and well established business. From her diverse background in public relations, sales and management, Barbara runs the day to day business operations of the farm, gift shop, internet and mail order business.
